The truce between the Hebrew State and the Islamic Jihad which entered into force this Sunday evening is still very fragile. “We want the ceasefire to be respected,” said the Israeli ambassador.
A fragile truce
After strong tensions in the enclave of Gaza a few days ago, a ceasefire agreement was reached between Israel and Islamic Jihad this Sunday. However, the truce still remains very fragile, because the Israeli army claims to have struck positions of the Palestinian armed group a few minutes after the entry into force of the truce at 23:30 local time. Unnecessary bloodshed
A latest report from the ministry reports 43 Palestinians who have been martyred, including 15 children and 311 injured since the start of the Israeli operation targeting Islamic Jihad in the impoverished enclave on Friday. In the aftermath, entire buildings were destroyed in the strikes. This Sunday, 17 Palestinians including nine children were killed this Sunday in Israeli raids in the Gaza gangs, according to the health ministry of the Palestinian armed movement Hamas. On the set of BFM TV Sunday evening, Yaël German, Israel’s ambassador to France expressed her concerns about this unnecessary bloodshed. “We want the ceasefire to be respected. We will do everything in our power to fight back and ensure the safety of our citizens”she said.
