The young Spanish international is expected to extend his link with the Catalans; here, all the details.
One of the proper names of Barcelona these days is that of Pablo Martin Paez Gavira, better known as ‘Gavi’. The revelation boy of last season in the FC Barcelona barely has 17 years and not only does it seem indispensable for the Catalans, but also for the Spanish National Team. His contract at the Camp Nou ends in June 2023so that the Barcelona entity accelerates to be able to renew as soon as possible to one of the club’s biggest appearances in the last decade.
Gavi’s renewal with Barcelona: why it is not announced, how many years of contract he would sign, salary and exit clause
With a contract until June of next year, it is expected that the player will continue in Barcelona beyond June 2023. That is precisely what Barcelona is looking for these days, although the economic proposal of the entity is still far away of what Gavi’s agent wants, the former soccer player Ivan de la Pena. In any case, it is understood that they could reach an agreement for a salary similar to the one established with Ronald Araujo in the renewal signed by the Uruguayan center-back in April this year (six million euros per season).
Evidently, Gavi’s talent and character they do not go unnoticed by the big clubs in Europe. And it is not surprising that there are teams that want to sign him. Such is the case of Bayern Munich, a German team that offers him more money than Barcelona. That is precisely one of the variables that De la Peña manages when it comes to demand better conditions for their client.
Currently, Gavi receives 100,000 euros per seasonlike the best players of the Juvenile and part of those of the subsidiary. Gavi’s agent has asked for six million, but Barça does not want to offer him more than four. That economic hurdle is expected to be resolved and Gavi extend the link with the catalans for six more seasons (could be five)con the exit clause amounting to 1,000 million after signing.
Gavi, an erupting volcano
The interior of the right leg signed for Barça at 11 yearsafter training in the inner categories of the Betis. joined the Alevín in the 2015-16 season and his progression has been brilliant, until he became one of the most serious pearls of the Masia Blaugrana.

After the victory over the Czechs, Luis Enrique left a phrase that describes the footballer born in Los Palacios and Villafranca, a town about 30km from Seville.
“The Gavi from within the field of play is an erupting volcano. It is impossible that there is not a single spectator in La Rosaleda who has not enjoyed what it has given us. I play between the lines like nobody else, he is outlined to play and receive with right and left, he dares, he is daring, he has a goal, last pass, defensive work…”, defined the former Roma coach. At the Camp Nou they hope that Gavi will continue to erupt for many more years.
