Gauting’s baseball offspring, the Gauting Indians, won the pitch championship in Freising and won the final against host Freising 12:1.
Gauting – As reigning champions, the Gauting Indians traveled to Freising for the Bavarian U10 Coach Pitch Championship 2024. The mission was clear: defend the title.

And even if this mission wasn’t quite clear in the first, very foggy, game and the boys still seemed a little tired, the results still spoke for themselves. In the preliminary round, the Indians 1 first beat the Ingolstadt Schanzer with 18:8, then the Legionnaires 2 from Regensburg with 20:2. In the quarter-finals they met their club friends from Gauting. This game ended 11:3, the subsequent semi-final against Garching Atomics 15:5. As was the case last year, Gauting 1 and Freising 1 faced each other in the final. Here too, Gauting was able to convince with strong hitting, but above all with a secure defense and also won this game 12:1.
Second Gautinger team in fifth place
The second Gautingen team also did impressively and only had to admit defeat to the first team from Regensburg and their own colleagues. The Gautinger kids achieved some big victories against Schwaig (21:7), Ingolstadt (7:4) and in the game for fifth place against Freising 2 (9:0). Sometimes spectacular plays are achieved, such as a grand slam home run or a triple play. (kb)
