Gaute Grøtta Grav ends in TV 2 – VG

«On the day 20 years after I started in TV 2, I leave the channel as a fixture on January 1st», Writes the former« Farmen »presenter (42).

Gaute goes on to say that it may well be that he will do some projects and guest appearances for TV 2 in the future as well, but that after the New Year he will no longer be bound by a permanent contract.

«It has been an incredibly cool journey, and I thank you for allowing me to do all the projects I dreamed of – from Sone2, Farmen, Sommer i Dyreparken and Villdyrlegen – to more obscure things like Miss Norway, Søppelkongen and Hundeskolen. Plus everything else», He writes.

Gaute is not sure what will happen next in terms of work.

«Whether I will continue fully with TV, or do it more on a project basis in the future, I have not actually decided yet. We enjoy living in Isfjorden, and less regular commuting is gold, both socially and familially», He explains – and at the same time hints that he is interested in offers.

«Of course, new, exciting projects are always tempting – regardless of industry», Writes the 42-year-old.

Just over a year and a half has passed since then Gaute resigned as host of “The Farm”. He has since made a travel program with cohabitant Cathrine Montero Moen (31). The couple stayed parents last fall and has for the past year and a half worked with the web series «Holiday Pearls», which has not been in collaboration with TV 2.

Gaute has two children from her marriage to former “Farmen” winner Silje Hvarnes (41).

It was when he himself won the very first “Farmen” round in 2001 that Gaute became a national celebrity. Since then, he has been watching the screen steadily – until 2020.

Program editor Kathrine Haldorsen in TV 2 tells VG that they thank Gaute for 20 years of collaboration.

– Gaute has been the host of many of TV 2’s biggest initiatives. In addition to leading programs, he has been very involved in developing and producing his own and new ideas along the way. Now life in the Icefjord and new projects entices Gaute, she says.
