TURIN (ITALPRESS) – The semi-final first leg of the Europa League between Juventus and Sevilla ended 1-1. At the Allianz Stadium in Turin, the Spanish team believed in it until a few seconds from the end when a flicker from Gatti allowed the Juventus team to be able to go all out in the second leg in Spain in a week’s time. After a rather crackling start for Juventus, the team coached by Mendilibar took the measures of Allegri’s men and gradually raised their center of gravity of action, moving ever more consistently towards Szczesny until they pierced him in the 26th minute, at the end of a fast action in which Ocampos received in the left lane serving En-Nesyri in the area who first kicked by displacing the Polish goalkeeper. There was practically no response from Juventus in the second half of the fraction: great difficulties for Allegri’s team who risked also being doubled on a long-range shot by Rakitic five minutes from the break and who a few minutes earlier seemed to have benefited from the early exit from the Ocampos field due to injury shortly after half an hour. Up to that moment the Argentine had been a real thorn in the side of the black and white eleven. Many of the fans present didn’t like it either, who booed their team at the end of the first half. With the grafts of Chiesa and Iling-Junior at the start of the second half, Allegri changed his team’s formation from 3-5-1-1 to 4-4-2 (then in the final to 4-3-3) and the maneuver actually benefited from it: a more dynamic Juventus put pressure on Sevilla even if goalkeeper Bounou only had to disengage in a save once when Iling-Junior tried from long range in the 19th minute. Despite a willing Juve, the match now seemed to be channeled towards a victory for the Andalusians but in full recovery, in the 97th minute, it was Gatti who found the equalizer: following the development of a corner kick taken by Chiesa, a series of headers first by Danilo and then by Pogba they put the defender in a position to push the ball into the net into an empty net to the far post, still with his head.
