REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Former commander of the TNI Gatot Nurmantyo revealed that he had also been invited to take over the leadership of the Democratic Party. The invitation came before the Head of the Presidential Staff Office (KSP) was appointed as the general chairman of the extraordinary congress version (KLB) in Deli Serdang, North Sumatra.
However, he did not reveal who had invited him to stage the coup. “The vision that will be carried out is that we will replace AHY first, the motion of no confidence, AHY will step down. After coming down, then the election,” said Gatot via a video uploaded to his account Instagram-nya, Ahad (7/3).
However, he refused an invitation to take over the leadership of the Democratic Party. One of the reasons is the figure of Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) who is the Chairman of the High Council of the Democratic Party.
“I am the Pangkostrad was summoned by SBY to the Palace ‘I will make you the Chief of Staff of the Army’. Because I thank you for this award and I will be responsible,” said Gatot.
Gatot said, SBY is a figure who has helped him achieve achievements in the military world. That is what made him reject the call to overthrow the leadership of Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY).
“I was raised by two Presidents. One is Pak Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, the other is Pak Joko Widodo, right that way. Then I responded by prying (the coup) of his son, “said Gatot.
Previously, Chairman of the High Council of the Democratic Party Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) said that the Head of the Presidential Staff Office (KSP) Moeldoko did not reflect the attitude of the knights. Not reluctant, he said that Moeldoko and the coup perpetrators really had the heart to do this to his side.
“Today history has perpetuated what happened in this country, many are stunned, many do not believe that KSP Moeldoko collaborated with insiders, really have the heart and in cold blood to carry out this coup,” said SBY at his residence, Puri Cikeas, Regency. Bogor, Friday (5/3).
SBY assesses that KSP Moeldoko only brings shame to officers who have served in the ranks of the Indonesian National Army (TNI). SBY also apologized for having appointed Moeldoko as TNI commander when he served as president of the Republic of Indonesia.
“My shame and guilt that I used to trust and position him several times. I ask for forgiveness in the presence of Allah SWT God Almighty for my mistake,” said SBY.
