Gatis Sluka. Economic growth
Economists forecast relatively high inflation in Latvia this year, for example, Swedbank’s latest economic survey entitled “Economic growth is ahead of inflation” predicts that inflation will average around 10% this year and that “a temporary drop in purchasing power seems imminent in the coming months”. Banks are also downgrading their gross domestic product (GDP) growth forecasts.
