Gatineau resident arrested for child pornography and child luring

Over the past year, Maxim Brisson, 24, of Gatineau, has reportedly communicated multiple times with a young girl, then 14, in an attempt to entice him to send him intimate photos and have sex, indicates the police de la Ville de Gatineau">SPVG, by press release.

The suspect would have first established a link with his victim on a group Facebook discussions on the subject of aquariums and aquatic fauna. After having exchanged with the minor victim on Facebook and Messenger, Maxim Brisson would have continued the exchanges on Instagram as well as on Snapchat, says the police.

The individual allegedly had conversations of a sexual nature with the young girl and repeatedly asked her to send intimate photos. The suspect also allegedly offered her monetary compensation in exchange for sexual services, which she always refused, continues the police de la Ville de Gatineau">SPVG.

The individual allegedly used his real identity to lure the young girl, using various accounts on social networks. He identified himself as Goalie.mb on Instagram, briss.max and Lolimax97 on Snapchat or Briss Max and Maxim Brisson on Facebook.

As the victim is not in the Outaouais region, Maxim Brisson could have made other victims in Gatineau as elsewhere in Quebec, thinks the police who invite parents to check if their children have been in contact with Maxim Brisson via social networks.
