Viral a gathering event for people who feel they are not human but dog. It is estimated that around a thousand people gathered at the Berlin Potsamer Platz train station, Germany.
In that activity, people who identified themselves as ‘therian‘ they howl and bark at each other to communicate with each other. Almost all of them were seen wearing masks that covered their faces.
After it went viral on social media, many people commented on the therians’ actions. Of course the response is not always positive.
“Just leave them in the Siberian tundra and let them survive on their dog instincts,” quipped netizens.
“But if they identify themselves as dogs, why wear masks?” asked the netter.
Therianthrope or abbreviated as therian are people who think that they are actually other creatures, not humans. This is different from ‘furries’, namely people who enjoy cosplaying in animal costumes.
“(One example of therians) believes that they are the souls of cats reincarnated into human bodies,” said Dr. Elizabeth Fein, a psychology professor at Duquesne University, Pittsburgh.
Some of furries is therian, vice versa. However, the two are different things, as quoted by detikINET from NY Post.
