Gasunie secures supply of liquefied gas to Eemshaven, Netherlands less dependent on Russian gas

Where does LNG come from?
LNG mainly comes from areas where large amounts of natural gas have been discovered, such as the US, North Africa, the Middle East and the West Indies. Examples of LNG producing countries are Russia, Norway, Nigeria, Algeria, Egypt, Oman, Qatar, Indonesia, Malaysia and Australia. With seven terminals that can receive LNG, Spain has the largest LNG capacity in Europe. According to Gasunie, the two parties will mainly supply LNG from Southern Europe and the US to Eemshaven.
