The aim of the project is by no means to dishonor any restaurant, but to point out shortcomings or praise the culinary art.

Tasty and high quality! This is the motto of the Březnice restaurant, which presents itself on its website as a stylish bistro in the historic part of the city. It is located in a renovated part of the former manor house, which is known as the “Na statku” complex. The location of the restaurant is interesting in itself.

After such a portion of history, it will starve and the U Statkáře restaurant is really within reach. During our visit, we chose both indoor and outdoor seating on a raised wooden terrace, which provided us with a pleasant shade on a sunny day. It also offers adequate views of the local playground with its many attractions. The playground is fenced and situated so that children are not endangered by movement in the adjacent parking lot.

The weekend menu was prepared on the table, the order of drinks and their preparation took place in a record short time. We chose soup this time tomato (40 crowns), we appreciate the look of serving with sour cream and parsley. The soup was warm enough not to offend or inspire.

The next course was Caesar salad (169 crowns), ie shredded iceberg lettuce with pieces of grilled meat, parmesan and croutons. The portion was large enough with a reasonable amount of meat. The salad was fresh, crispy and the food was pleasantly refreshing. Its creator, the Italian chef Cesare Cardini, who works in Mexico and the USA, would probably have reservations about flavoring and replacing Roman salad with iceberg lettuce.

The gastronomic experience was not waiting for us in the case marinated bacon in BBQ sauce with mashed potatoes (149 crowns). Although a certain amount of grease is expected for the belly, there was really enough grease to look at. The insufficient temperature buried the gourmet experience completely. For this meal, the operator should administer Imodium as a precaution.

He won the main courses here spilled bird with steamed rice (145 crowns), also offered with a variant of the side dish in the form of a bread dumpling. This plate could also have been a few degrees warmer, but it was still an excellent combination. The soft beef in the delicious sauce appealed to us so much that we had another portion packed with us.

We enjoyed them in the U Statkáře restaurant in Březnice. The vast majority of restaurants do not make homemade but also buyers when preparing pasta. It was no different here. The cream sauce was well seasoned, there was plenty of meat. Overall, we rate it as a very successful dish.

You can tell that they are ready for children’s guests at Statkář, not only by the mentioned playground and the pleasantly equipped children’s corner inside the restaurant, but also by the ice cream window directly on the terrace. We couldn’t resist the offer of several flavors and we ordered one from the nice waitress Shrekovou (25 crowns). These are not sorbets or unrivaled delicacies from modern ice cream parlors, which is not expected even given the price. But the classic scoop of ice cream will appeal to children and many adults after lunch.

We tasted classic desserts panna cottu (95 korun), for which we again highlight its creative serving. The consistency was a bit stiffer than the classic delicacy is. But in combination with the refreshing fruit, we quite enjoyed the dessert in the final.

Overall, we appreciate the helpful and kind service, which a decent visitor will certainly be happy to forgive small details. We also evaluate the cleanliness and equipment of the toilets. Parking is located directly at the restaurant. If you want to spend a pleasant summer day, we recommend a combination of castle history, tasting of honestly brewed beer and, with a good choice, decent food in the restaurant U Statkáře Březnice, which we rate 7/10.
