Rostock (dpa / mv) – The hotel and restaurant association MV has called for a timely economic perspective for the previously closed clubs and discos. It is the urgent need of the hour to give them an opening date, said the President of the Dehoga MV, Lars Schwarz, on Monday in Rostock. There have been no new corona infections in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania for nine days. “Against this background, it is no longer logical to explain why an industry segment has to remain completely closed here, especially since a large number of the guests in the clubs and discos are locals,” emphasized Schwarz.
“Clubs and discos were not only the first to close, but will also be the last to go on the market again,” said Schwarz. “The company is literally up to its necks.”
Schwarz welcomed the “Clubs and Discotheques” task force set up by the state government. There, practitioners are working on concepts for the safe operation of these companies. “However, wanting to play on time with this task force and delay a possible opening is the wrong way.”
