He left no choice.
The legendary Soviet film “Cinderella” has been an obligatory attribute of the New Year for many years. But for all the popularity of the fairy tale, viewers know little about the facts associated with this cult film.
One of the creators of the tape was Nikolai Akimov, artistic director of the Leningrad Comedy Theater. He invited his ex-wife Nadezhda Kosheverova to become the second director of Cinderella. But Akimov set one condition: his current wife Elena Junger will play one of the roles. Kosheverova agreed, and the director’s beloved played the role of Cinderella’s sister Anna.
The ex-wife reacted calmly to Akimov’s condition and did not suffer from jealousy. Furthermore, the couple separated as friends and maintained a warm relationship. Kosheverova after “Cinderella” shot several most successful films, including “An old, old fairy tale” and “How Ivan the Fool went by a miracle.”
And Akimov, during his marriage to Junger, had an affair with Lydia Vilvovskaya, a theater critic. From this relationship a daughter was born. But Junger forgave her husband’s betrayal and saved this marriage.
