Gasoline in the Czech Republic became more expensive last week and the price of diesel stagnated. The average price of the best-selling Natural 95 petrol has risen by seven pennies since last Wednesday to CZK 27.84 per liter. The price of diesel fell, but only by one penny to 27.04 crowns. This is according to data from CCS, which monitors prices.

Compared to last year, however, fuels are now significantly cheaper. Last year in the Czech Republic, drivers paid about five crowns more for a liter of petrol and diesel than now.

The cheapest petrol now is refueled by drivers in the Hradec Králové Region, where a liter of Natural 95 costs an average of 27.48 crowns. Diesel is the cheapest in the Ústí nad Labem region with an average price of 26.60 crowns per liter.

On the contrary, the most expensive fuel prices are still in Prague. Drivers in the city will buy a liter of petrol for an average of 28.55 crowns. Diesel costs 28.16 crowns per liter in Prague, in no other region has its price exceeded 28 crowns.
