The average price of gasoline in Ukraine fell by 1.5% – from UAH 25.22 to UAH 24.84 / liter. According to the introduced state regulation of the cost of fuel, during the third decade of May, the cost of gasoline should not exceed UAH 29.84 / liter, and diesel – UAH 27.89 / liter.
However, some premium gas stations began to cut bonus programs, allegedly in connection with losses due to state regulation of prices. Dmitry Marunich, co-chairman of the Energy Strategies Fund, announced this in a commentary UBR.
“This is a very real story. They had loyalty programs that reached 10% of the cost of fuel in retail. Their business was built like this: if you constantly refuel, you pay 10% less. They have no other option, but let’s see how much in the future, the authorities will “tighten the screws,” Marunich said.
At the same time, Alexander Kirimov, an expert on the fuel market, expressed the opinion that it was a matter of blackmailing the authorities.
“Regulation of the cost of fuel is still ineffective. And market participants can bypass it. And the fact that the latter are allegedly complaining and cutting loyalty programs, I regard as a demonstration performance. Like,” you see, you hit us, but the clients got it, ” summed up Kirimov.
As a reminder, WOG and OKKO gas station networks resumed the sale of premium fuel… Thus, the former resumes sales of the A-95 Mustang and DP + Mustang.
