This is the lowest gas price for the population in the annual offer.
In six gas sales, the cost of 1 m³ of gas varies from UAH 10.2 to UAH 13.5. The highest gas price for the population from May 1 to April 30, 2022 was set by two suppliers – “Chernivtsi Regional Energy Supply Company” and “Zhytomyr Regional Energy Supply Company”.
As noted by “GazPravda”, the annual tariff plans will be basic. All consumers who previously used monthly offers will be automatically switched to annual products by suppliers.
At the same time, each consumer will be able to change the annual tariff plan to any other, as well as the supplier itself.
Context:
- On March 2, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal announced the appearance of annual contracts with a fixed price for gas in the second quarter of 2021… It should be the next step after opening of the natural gas market in August 2020 and protect the population from sharp price fluctuations, the head of the Cabinet of Ministers noted.
- On March 5, the National Commission for State Regulation in the Spheres of Energy and Utilities (NEURCU), endorsed Decree on the introduction of an annual tariff for suppliers from May 1, 2021 to April 30, 2022.
- April 7 NEURCU made changes to the rules and the standard contract for the supply of natural gas. Gas suppliers are required to publish gas prices and other information about the annual supply on their websites by 25 April.
