The gas pipeline, where the alleged explosion occurred in the Luhansk region, is not used for transit and gas supplies. This was announced on Facebook by the head Naftogaz Yuri Vitrenko.

According to Vitrenko, Ukraine lost control of this gas pipeline after the invasion of Russian troops in 2014.
“Even then it was disconnected from the united gas transportation system of Ukraine, it is not used for transit and gas supplies to Ukraine,” the head of Naftogaz said.
Vitrenko noted that this, in particular, was proved by Naftogaz in the Stockholm arbitration, which won against Gazprom in 2018.
“And that is why we should not pay for gas supplies, which, due to the connection points in the occupied territories, seem to be carried out by Gazprom,” Vitrenko added.
According to a specialist in corporate and government communications Alena Osmolovskayasince February 2015, gas to the occupied territory comes directly from Russia through Prokhorovka and Platovo.
