Thionville. Metz road gas leak: eight people evacuated

It is 3:35 p.m., this Wednesday, August 9, when the firefighters are called on the road from Metz to Thionville. A pipe was pierced by a construction machine at number 37. Eight occupants of four houses had to be evacuated as well as five workers.
No injuries to report
The axis was closed to traffic in both directions due to a risk of explosion. The emergency services of Thionville and Yutz took care of the people and set up fire protection. During this time, a GRDF agent cut off the gas supply. The police lifted the device at 4:45 p.m. Residents were able to return to their homes. No injuries are reported.
