A gas leak was detected outside the Favi company in Hallencourt (west of the Somme), shortly before 5.30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 13.
Rue Louis-Deneux, where the business is located, is closed to traffic. Firefighters and gendarmes are on site.
180 employees were evacuated without anyone being injured or inconvenienced.
The gas leak is located on an outdoor storage cylinder. The company called on a specialist company to repair what appears to be an accidental leak. The speakers will then be heard by the gendarmerie to confirm or deny this hypothesis.
