“We are going through this heating season tensely, but calmly. We have enough resources. Naftogaz will begin the planned purchase of gas to Ukrainian storage facilities for the next season next month. The volumes are being specified. We believe that we will also calmly go through the next heating season,” Shmyhal said. .
When asked whether Ukraine will be able to physically import gas from next month if Gazprom does not book additional capacities for transit, Shmygal assured that there is a “plan B”.
“We have a plan B. Firstly, this year we have an intention, and not just an intention, but confirmed figures regarding Ukrainian gas production, and we are also negotiating with partners regarding alternative gas imports.
