April 1 in a multi-family building at ul. There was a gas explosion in Darwin. 7 people, including two children, were injured. The most seriously injured person was transported to hospital by an LPR helicopter. 21 fire brigades and 58 rescuers took part in the rescue operation, including a specialist search and rescue group from Jastrzębie-Zdrój with rescue dogs.
Until 11.30 p.m., the apartments were protected against further damage (especially the windows). Firefighters, building administration employees, maintenance workers and apartment owners worked on site. Several people spent the night at the Crisis Intervention Center in Tychy. The rest slept with family or friends.

Residents of staircase no. 4 are asked to urgently contact the Housing Management Department at the Tychy City Hall (entrance from the park side). Telephone: 32 776 30 51. Office employees will also contact the injured persons.
Faculty employees will help you deal with matters related to, among others: arranging alternative accommodation for people injured in a gas explosion. A social worker from the Municipal Social Welfare Center in Tychy will also be on site, who will inform about the possibilities of emergency financial assistance.
At the Crisis Intervention Center at ul. Nowościelna 27, you can also benefit from psychological support. Residents will be provided with all the help they need.
