– We’ve managed to get five people out of the rubble. Among them were two children aged 3 and 5, all of them were hospitalized – Polsat News told Polsat News, senior captain Patrycja Pokrzywa, spokeswoman for the Municipal Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Bielsko-Biała.

The children with their mother were taken to the Bielsko-Biała pediatric hospital. – They undergo diagnostic tests. They don’t have any fractures. You can see abrasions, also on the lips. They are severely scared and battered, both the children and the mother. Fortunately, he accompanies them. The younger girl does not exist without her. He despairs when his mother takes even one step away. It’s good that the woman is with them. If necessary, the surgical doctors will also take care of my mother – said Ewa Bachta, director of the hospital.

Two other victims were transported to other facilities: in Wadowice and to the provincial hospital in Bielsko-Biała.

The people excavated from under the rubble are in good condition. In total, seven people lived in the partially collapsed house.

18 fire brigades arrived at the site of the explosion. The services had information about one adult person who may still be under the rubble. As communicated before 10, the woman wanted died.

The seventh inhabitant of the house is a student who was at school at the time of the explosion.

Paweł Zemanek, the head of Porąbki, said that the damage was huge. The view evokes the tragic events of December last year, when a house in Szczyrk collapsed after a gas explosion. Eight people died then.

The local government official said that the commune would help the victims. Krzysztof Fiołek from the commune office in Porąbka announced that an online fundraising campaign under the slogan: “rebuilding the house after the gas explosion in Kobiernice” has started. The first payments have already gone there.
