Or an actor that we do not immediately recognize in the guise of US President Harry S. Truman, and around whom there had been little communication.
But it is indeed Gary Oldman, who is working for the fourth time with Christopher Nolan, after having been Commissioner Gordon of his The Dark Knight trilogy. Slightly made up, he is not as unrecognizable as in Hannibal, but it takes a few seconds to realize who he is.

And it’s all the more fun to see him embody the President of the United States since he recently played another, even more famous leader: English Prime Minister Winston Churchill in Joe Wright’s The Dark Hours, which won him the Oscar for Best Actor in 2018.
A ceremony in which Christopher Nolan also participated thanks to Dunkirk, rewarded three times for eight nominations (including that of Best Director). Is it at this time that the filmmaker and the actor promised to team up again one day, when they competed for films whose events come together?
