Gary Neville sympathizes with Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay following his post-match comments following their loss to Arsenal.
The Gunners boosted their Champions League hopes with a 3-1 victory in north London, while inflicting even more misery on Ralf Rangnick’s lackluster Red Devils.
McTominay didn’t mince words after the loss at the Emirates Stadium.
“There are a lot of problems in terms of players, coaching staff, everything up there. There’s a lot going on right now,” McTominay told BT Sport.
McTominay added: “For us, the confidence in ourselves, the lack of confidence, you can see everything in the last couple of months. Us [need to] go home and look in the mirror.
“You can’t go home and settle for conceding three goals against Arsenal when we deserved to win the game.
“The last four games are a point of pride for us, going out on the field and showing a bit of ball with your performances.
“When the new coach arrives, we must be ready for everything, we must be so focused and concentrated on our work that we impress him.
