Former Manchester United star Gary Neville was so impressed by Tottenham’s performance against Liverpool that he’s backing them to beat Arsenal in the upcoming North London derby.
Tottenham proved tough opposition to Jurgen Klopp’s side on Saturday, and a well-crafted move saw Spurs score first against the title chasers.

Kane had driven towards the goal before handing it to Ryan Sessegnon, who coolly walked across the goal for Son to put the ball into the goal, summing up the Spurs’ emphatic performance as they held the Reds to a 1-1 draw.
Antonio Conte’s side seem to enjoy playing against title contenders, having beaten Manchester City 3-2 with a goal five minutes after stoppage time earlier in the season.
However, this kind of form hasn’t translated all season, leading Spurs to fall four points behind the coveted fourth place.
It couldn’t be more fitting, then, that their next opponent in their race for Champions League places is fierce rival Arsenal.
The game was originally meant to be played in January, but a Covid case in the Emirates caused it to be postponed.
The Gunners currently sit in fourth place, but a Spurs win against their local rivals would spoil the race to qualify for the Champions League.

– The reverse encounter between these two teams saw Arsenal beat Spurs 3-1 with the home team scoring all their goals in the space of 22 minutes of the first half.
And now Neville has explained why he thinks Spurs will succeed, adding that the postponement will add an extra needle.
“Look, Arsenal have to lose, but Tottenham on Thursday night will be difficult for Arsenal,” he said.
“If they come out of there with a draw or a victory, they will have done very well with the feeling that there will be in that stadium against them.
“It’s a great game, I’m looking forward to it. I like Tottenham on Thursday night. I thought they were brilliant at Anfield, I thought it was a very good performance because Liverpool are one of the best.”

Son’s goal in the 56th minute was just one of several chances he and teammate Kane created on the counterattack on Saturday.
And this ability to both move forward and absorb pressure defensively despite having less possession is something that Neville believes will be the difference between the two sides in the highly contentious derby.
“Tottenham had to put up with a lot of pressure defensively, they did well defensively, but Harry Kane and Son Heung-min, that ground to fight back is the hardest to fight back. I think there is less space there than there is [at the Etihad]. There just is.
“I know they have done well [at the Etihad] but Anfield is so tight and Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate are so fast and so strong that you think: how do Kane and Son do against them? But they did. Brilliant, absolutely brilliant, I thought they were exceptional.
