Garuda Pilot Will Be Transferred to Citilink

PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) will transfer pilot them to the subsidiary Citilink Indonesia. President Director of Garuda Indonesia, Irfan Setiaputra, said that the planned transfer was reasonable.

The reason is, Citilink is also part of the Garuda Indonesia group.

“Moving around [pilot] That’s normal, we’re a group,” said Irfan to CNNIndonesia.com, Monday (15/11).

Irfan also rejected the transfer plan related to various issues that hit the state-owned airline. He also does not mind if there are parties who do not want the plan to be realized.

“It’s their internal matter, it’s still a discussion, it’s possible to have different opinions,” he said.

President of the Garuda Pilots Association (APG) Donny Kusmanagri said the plan was a joint operation between the two airlines.

“It’s not a pilot transfer, but a kind of cooperation operation,” said Donny.

He added that the cooperation was not permanent, but only temporary. Donny hopes that this cooperation will not cause problems between the pilots of the two airlines. Because they both come from the same parent.

Information about the plan to transfer Garuda pilots was revealed in Minute of Meeting (MoM) Citilink Pilot Association which discussed optimizing the Garuda crew to Citilink.

Quoting from Detik.com, the MoM explained that the transfer mechanism was still in the discussion stage. However, the association asked for clarity regarding the remuneration package for Garuda pilots assigned to Citilink.

In addition, the status of the Citilink pilot was also discussed in the notes of the meeting. The Citilink pilot with the status of a Specific Time Work Agreement (PKWT) becomes an Indefinite Work Agreement (PKWTT).

Irfan responded fairly to his employee’s request. “Oh yes, that’s a reasonable opinion,” he said.

On the other hand, Donny said the work contract was an internal matter between the Citilink Pilot Association (APIC) and Citilink management.
