“Garuda Muda U-22 Indonesian National Team’s Victorious Parade in Jakarta”

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The procession or procession of the Indonesian U-22 football national team (Timnas) players was held on Jalan Sudirman-Thamrin, Jakarta, Friday (19/5/2023) today.

This activity was held in order to welcome the “Garuda Muda” squad back home after successfully winning a gold medal at the 2023 SEA Games in Cambodia.

This procession was broadcast live by the Chairman of the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) Erick Thohir via his Instagram account.

The coach of the U-22 national team, Indra Sjafri, also took part in the open bus carrying the group of footballers. Instantly, the streets around Geloran Bung Karno, South Jakarta, became a sea of ​​people.

“Indonesian!” heard the cheers of the people who welcomed the procession.

“This isn’t the final victory of course. It’s not easy to keep this up!” said Erick Thohir from the bus.

Traffic was choked up. The bus stopped for a moment to greet the supporters who had filled the streets around the PSSI office.

Not a few people who carry red and white flags. They kept cheering because they were drifting in joy. Confetti was also thrown into the air several times.

The aim is none other than to anticipate traffic congestion during the activity which starts at 08.00 WIB.
