jpnn.com, JAKARTA – Member of Commission VI DPR RI Andre Rosiade responded to the four options proposed by the Ministry of SOEs to save the state-owned airline PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero).

Andre said that the new management of the state-owned airline is currently bearing the burden of past debts which are quite fantastic in number.

“Price leasing does not make sense. It should be 9 million dollars a month, 12 million dollars should be paid, of which only 7 million dollars a month must be 9 million dollars,” said Andre in a statement received by JPNN.com, Saturday (29/5).

The Minang-blooded politician mentioned the past debt burden that made the national airline suffer tremendous losses.

Currently, said Andre, none of the four options offered by the SOE Ministry are final.

He said that the House of Representatives Commission VI until now still wants PT Garuda to continue operating and become a company national flag carrier.

However, according to the Gerindra Party cadre, all parties must remain rational in responding to the problems of PT Garuda Indonesia.

“Therefore, at the next session, we (DPR Commission VI) will summon Garuda and the Ministry of SOEs to examine which option is the most rational and the best for Garuda,” he continued.
