Garuda Bans Cargo Shipping of Vivo Mobile Phones After Fire in Hong Kong

JAKARTA, COMPASS.TV– The Garuda Indonesia airline announced a ban on cargo shipments of Vivo smartphones of all types. This is related to the fire incident at Hong Kong Airport.

This announcement is made in the Cargo Information Notice circulating on social media, with the title or subject “Prohibition of Cargo Shipping for Vivo Mobile Phones (HP) of All Types”.

This prohibition is related to a fire incident in the shipment of the Vivo Y20 smartphone cargo at Hong Kong Airport on April 11, 2021.

The cargo was originally going to be loaded onto the Hong Kong Airlines plane. However, then a fire broke out in the cargo.

“Mobile phones of all types of Vivo brands are prohibited from being accepted / transported via air cargo,” Garuda Indonesia announced, Tuesday (13/04/2021).

This shipping embargo is until there is a result of the investigation process by the Hong Kong Airport Authority. Even so, cargo in the form of spare parts without lithium batteries can still be sent.
