GARDEN RINGS. At the end of October, the Gärtringer trade forum did not hesitate for long: One day after it became known that there will be restrictions and closings for some companies again in November, plans for a spontaneous voucher campaign began, which would at least provide a little relief for the companies affected by the lockdown should create. In a week and a half, the trade forum gathered everything that was needed for the campaign. 14 companies responded directly to the offer. “We noticed that the need was really there,” says Jutta Weinle-Günter, who sits on the board of the trade forum. The desperation and fear of the future among the entrepreneurs are great. Rent, employees and loans still have to be paid, the last few months could not have closed the gap from the beginning of the year.

That is why there is now a large blackboard in Gärtringer Edeka, which was built and donated by the Kimmerle joinery. The companies that are participating in the voucher campaign can be found on it. If you do your shopping at Edeka and opt for a voucher, you can pay for it at the cash register and then pick up the voucher at the cash office. The board with information about the campaign is right next to the bakery counter. The prices are already fixed, “but if you would like a different amount, you can order it from us,” explains Jutta Weinle-Günter. Customers can also get the vouchers in Sandra Hailfinger’s “Das Blumenleben” flower shop.

The posters for the campaign were designed by the qualified designer Marisa Migliazzi from Gärtringen. From today, Wednesday, November 16, additional flags will follow, with which the Gärtringers should be encouraged to look positively into the future: Some copies are already hanging in the Edeka store: “Stay healthy”, “Think positive” and “Everything will be fine” are just some of the slogans on the flags that are supposed to adorn the balconies and windows of the gardeners.

“It was important to us to focus on the company”, says Tanja Schäberle, who also organized the campaign on the board of the trade forum. The aim is to minimize contacts and to support other shops with weekly shopping without having to go directly. And the throughput at Edeka is great: around 16,000 customers do their shopping here every week.

Business forum members and Gärtringer companies also have the option of placing a bulk order, for example to make up for unusual Christmas parties with their employees.

In the meantime, a large banner in the through traffic draws attention to the voucher campaign. Thomas Thüroff from the municipality of Gärtringen took care of this and fully supported the campaign. “The Edeka in Gärtringen is in a great location, but we want to make drivers aware of it again,” he explains. “We need the companies in Gärtringen so that we can stay colorful”, says Jutta Weinle-Günter emphatically.

The campaign has been running for over a week. At first it was planned to run until the end of November, but now it is expected to be extended until Christmas.
