Jakarta (ANTARA) – The growing popularity of running in Indonesia has prompted Erajaya Group and Garmin Indonesia to present a smartwatch specifically for beginner runners, namely the Garmin Forerunner 55 which is priced at Rp. 3.199 million on July 15, 2021.
A series of updates have also been embedded in this smartwatch compared to its predecessor, the Forruner 45. The Garmin Forerunner 55 already has features for beginners who are about to start running.
“This Garmin Forerunner 55 smart watch is specifically for beginners. The mode of this watch is also quite complete, and can provide various training tips that can be adjusted by the user,” said Country Manager, Garmin Indonesia, Rian Krisna at the launch of Garmin Forerunner 55 virtually, Wednesday.

The Garmin Forerunner 55 also has up to two weeks of battery life in mode smartwatch and up to 20 hours if using GPS mode.
In addition, Forerunner 55 also features a variety of health and fitness features from Garmin such as Firstbeat Analytics, Body Battery, and the Garmin Connect app. This watch can also be used for swimming to cycling.
“With a sleek, lightweight appearance, the Forerunner 55 tracks every step of running, cycling trips and pool mileage, combining a reliable performance monitoring tool for novice runners,” he said.
“With comprehensive running modes, customized daily workout tips and improved health monitoring, this watch will help users improve their performance both on and off the track.”
On the same occasion, Erajaya Group Director, Djohan Sutanto said that Erajaya Group and Garmin, in their commitment to presenting gadgets with the latest technology, this time presented the Garmin Forerunner 55 which is specially designed for beginner runners and at an affordable price.
“This product can be purchased online through partners e-commerce marketplace Tokopedia and services Home Delivery Service via Whatsapp Center Urban Republic Store. The wider community can enjoy the sophistication of this new product without the need to go to our outlets at the mall,” said Djohan Sutanto.
The Garmin Forerunner 55 is priced at IDR 3,199 million with three color choices such as black, white, and aqua.
This product is available exclusively at the Garmin Official Store e-commerce marketplace Tokopedia and Garmin Brand Store starting from July 15, 2021. In addition, this product will also be available at the Urban Republic Store network and several Erafone outlets starting July 26, 2021.
