“Gareth Edwards’ ‘The Creator’: A Spectacular Sci-Fi War Sculpture with a Paternal Twist”

Wow. Even I, a fan of Rogue One, am aware of a certain stigma associated with Gareth Edwards, who was not exactly having the happiest of moments during the creation of his last film, and the entire production encountered considerable problems. The result was still respectable for me and actually the best Star Wars film during the Disney era. However, the film did not receive the warmest reception after the premiere, and Edwards, who was blamed for the overshoots, de facto slammed the door in Hollywood for a while. So the director went into seclusion for a few years, and I kind of firmly believed that he would come back with something smaller in the future to rebuild his reputation. The Creator completely trampled my expectations, because this definitely does not look like a small chamber sci-fi for a few dozen melons. Instead, Fox serves us a seemingly spectacular war sculpture between humanity and artificial intelligence, which is a beautifully topical topic at the moment, which will also be accompanied at the core by the “paternal” relationship between the main character (a great John David Washington) and a small robot child. Well, it looks sensational, the demo goes like crazy, I like the musical accompaniment, the visuals, the cast and the plot, so a strong 4* and out of the blue one of the most anticipated films of the year for me.
