Gareth Bale can’t contribute much to the game Wales vs Iran from World Cup 2022. The captain of the Dragons even seemed to disappear on the pitch.
The Wales vs Iran match was a fierce one at Ahmad bin Ali Stadium, Al Rayyan, Qatar on Friday (25/11/2022). Melli’s side won the match with two goals in injury time, after Wales played with 10 men in the 86th minute.
In that match, Bale, who became Wales’ basis, couldn’t do much. The former Southampton, Tottenham Hotspur and Real Madrid player fired just one shot all match.
Gareth Bale he also made just 36 touches during the game. The lack of input made him nicknamed “ghost”.
Bale himself scored a goal in the first match as Wales held the United States 1-1. With the defeat to Iran, Wales are now bottom of Group B with just one point earned.
Furthermore, Wales they will face England in their final match in Group B. A win is clearly needed Gareth Bale et al to keep the dragon’s chance to the next round a World Cup 2022.
