Publisher Nacon announced on June 13 that the gardening simulation game “Garden Life]was officially announced. The compatible platforms are PC (Steam) / Nintendo Switch / PS4 / PS5 / Xbox One / Xbox Series X|S and will be delivered in 2024.
Garden Life is a simulation game where you can create your own garden. Players are given an abandoned parcel and use their gardening skills and creativity to make it their own garden. In this work, real plants such as various kinds of flowers are prepared, and the player is free to choose what to plant where. You will be planting the seeds you have chosen while imagining the finished form of the garden.
After planting the seeds, there is work to nurture and care for them. I fetch water for the watering can, water it, and fertilize it as needed. Once it has grown to a certain level, it is pruned to keep it healthy and to express its natural beauty. In this work, real gardening is reproduced, and it is said that it is required to see what each seedling needs and take care of it. Then, the plants will adapt to their surroundings and grow into unique figures using the game’s unique procedural growth simulation technology.
It seems that there is also a breeding element in this work, and it seems that various breeds will be unlocked and available by performing breed improvement. You can also get new varieties of plants by completing gardening requests from your neighbors. Through such requests, you can also obtain gardening tools and decorations. There are also small huts and greenhouses in the player’s garden. Ornaments are decorations that can be used in such buildings, and objects that are placed in gardens.
In addition, there are no so-called game-like elements such as time limits and resource management in the gameplay of this work. No penalties if something goes wrong.
