Garda killer Aaron Brady’s housemate testifies at robbery trial, claiming he was “pressured by the Gardaí”.

A witness in the trial of two men accused of a €7,000 robbery in Co Louth in January 2013 alleged earlier this week that he was threatened with jail by gardai who allegedly pressured him to change his statement. Colin Hoey told the criminal court that he could not recall if James Flynn and Aaron Brady, who were both charged with conspiracy to enter residential premises with intention of stealing car keys, were in his house on the night of the robbery. The prosecution alleges that Flynn and Brendan Treanor were part of a group that conspired to break into houses and steal car keys. Treanor and Flynn plead not guilty to the charges against them. Brady is serving a life sentence for the robbery and the murder of Detective Garda Adrian Donohoe.
