Le Occitanie Mediterranean Entrepreneurship Network brought together more than 300 business and institutional leaders mas st gabriel on May 19 for the 2022 edition of its Laureates’ Party.
The association highlighted the 26 entrepreneurs, including six Gardois, whom it has decided to support from 2021. Its president Richard Marlier underlined the relevance of this solidarity network in the face of the economic, social and environmental challenges to come.
The winners’ village, set up for the occasion at the Mas Saint Gabriel, allowed the class of 2021 to present themselves to the guests before a trophy award ceremony chaired by Richard Marlier and whose godmother was Françoise Nyssen. The president of REOM highlighted “ the intact will of the creators and buyers of French companies despite the war in Ukraine“, inviting members and winners of the Network to be “ opportunistic and agile, because the lack of visibility on the future and the ambient uncertainty will create new, unimaginable situations. »
In 2021, the Réseau Entreprendre Occitanie Méditerranée received nearly 700 requests for assistance and selected 26 winners at the head of 17 companies. Ten creators, ten buyers and six companies in development have obtained a loan of honor and benefit from the individual support of business leaders who are members of the network for at least 24 months. ” The loans granted in 2021 amount to one million euros, including 665,000 euros in honor loans and 335,000 euros in Bpi France co-financing commented Richard Marlier, president of REOM. ” This represents a record, a 48% increase in funding compared to 2020. »
For the past two years, the network has recorded in particular a growing number of business takeovers, operations which can turn out to be as complex as creations according to the director of REOM Gilles Capella who concludes ” The buyers must take up the challenge of continuing to operate in the absence of the historic manager, with a new mode of management in particular. »
