The president of the Board of Directors of the Cibao International Airport, Félix García, announced yesterday the donation of a million dollars to the government to counter the Covid-19 coronavirus in the country.
García specified that these resources will go directly to the purchase of protective equipment, such as masks, suits and other supplies, for medical personnel, nurses and assistants, who work in the care, testing and care of those affected by the coronavirus pandemic, that they put themselves at risk to protect the population.
The donation will be received by the Minister of the Presidency and coordinator of the High Level Commission for the Prevention and Control of the coronavirus, Gustavo Montalvo; the Minister of Economy, Planning and Development, Juan Ariel Jiménez, and the executive director of the National Council of Free Export Zones, Luisa Fernández.

García also announced the donation of 400 rapid tests to be administered by the Santiago Metropolitan Hospital (HOMS) and the Presidente Estrella Ureña Regional University Hospital, aimed at people with limited economic resources in Santiago and surrounding areas, or as they estimate, in their priorities, the health authorities.
The businessman acknowledged the great efforts made in the face of the crisis by President Danilo Medina together with the health authorities and other organizations.
