Ecuador continues to add gold medals in the Cali-Valle 2021 Junior Pan American Games. This November 27, 2021, the weightlifter Ivan Escudero reached the gold medal by lifting a total of 342 kg.
On the eve, the judoka Bryan Garboa he also won the gold medal.
Escudero lifted 152 Kg in snatch and 190 Kg in clean and jerk, to be crowned Junior Pan American champion in the 81 Kg weight division.

The first gold medal of the Ecuadorian delegation was reached Bryan Garboa by prevailing in the final of the -60kg category, over the Mexican Arath Juárez. In the first two days of the Games, Ecuador also managed to get on the podium in taekwondo, triathlon and squash.
In taekwondo, Jose Nieto reached the bronze in the 69kg, after the dispute with Adrián Benítez of Puerto Rico. Mell Mina she was also third in that martial discipline.
Other bronze medals came thanks to the triathlon, with the outstanding performances of Paula Vega and Xavier Criollo, in women and men respectively.
In weights, Jennifer Becerra reached a bronze medal. María Paula Moya was also third in squash.
This November 27, 2021, the swimmer Anicka Delgado was seventh in the 100-meter butterfly. Ecuador attended the Cali Games with 168 athletes, in 25 disciplines.
