Otomotifnet.com – It should be wary when meeting parts called original but sold at low prices in online stores.
Maybe, these parts included junk items aka used items that are recycled and packaged like new goods.
The term is famous rebuild or genuine box (Gebox) which is only the original packaging but the parts are fake or recycled used goods.
Eris Novansyah Gunawan, owner of Toyota’s specialist workshop, Anugerah Motor in Central Jakarta, said that original spare parts prices should not be used as a benchmark by consumers.

“Many people who buy original parts at the protest workshop, the price is really different from those online,” said Eris, (10/07/20).
“Even though they don’t know the actual price at the official dealer or workshop,” Eris continued when contacted.
“Yesterday someone asked for a Toyota Corolla original brake pad, I told you the price was Rp 550 thousand,” he explained.
“He only knew that it was sold for Rp. 300 thousand online, I finally said please just buy it and it’s right when the goods are different compared to them,” he continued.
