Gantz Vows to Remove Hezbollah from Israeli Border and Intensive Training for Occupation Army

Gantz vows to “remove Hezbollah from the border” and undertake intensive training for the occupation army

On Friday, member of the Israeli Military Ministerial Council, Benny Gantz, vowed to “remove Lebanese Hezbollah from the borders if the world does not act on this.”

Gantz’s statements, leader of the National Unity Party, came after a meeting with representatives of Israeli towns near the border with Lebanon.

Gantz added to reporters: “Last week I spoke with the foreign ministers of Britain, France, Germany and the United States, and with other world leaders, and invited them here to see the reality.”

He continued: “I told them that we need political action in addition to military action, and I told them, and I also say it to our citizens: If the world does not remove Hezbollah from the borders, Israel will do so,” adding: “We are ready for political action as well as military action here in the north, and we will do our duty as a state.” “To provide a safe life for the people of the north and allow them to return to their homes.”

The occupation army is preparing for possible additional scenarios with Hezbollah

In a clear warning to Hezbollah, the occupation army said on Friday that it was carrying out intensive training on the northern border.

Israeli media quoted an army statement as saying that the training, which was called “Precious Time,” aims to prepare soldiers for “possible additional scenarios on the northern border,” while carrying out their routine operations in the region.

The statement added that the forces are training during the day and night, in open and urban areas, and from the level of factions to battalions. Soldiers are also taught how to use armored vehicles and other weapons.

The occupation government had previously called on tens of thousands of settlers in the border towns with Lebanon to leave their homes, since the beginning of the aggression on the Gaza Strip on October 7.

Since last October 8, Hezbollah and Palestinian factions have been launching attacks on occupation sites, “in solidarity with the Gaza Strip,” which has been subjected to a devastating Israeli war since the seventh of the same month, which has left tens of thousands of Palestinians dead and wounded.
