Ganjar Pranowo’s Response to Gibran Rakabuming Raka Becoming Prabowo’s VP Candidate

Chairman of the National Winning Team (TPN) Ganjar Pranowo, Arsjad Rasiid, responds to the Mayor of Solo Gibran Rakabuming Raka became Prabowo Subianto’s vice presidential candidate. Arsjad responded to Gibran’s position, who was previously instructed by the party to become a campaigner or Jurkamnas for the winner of Ganjar Pranowo and Mahfud Md.

“Yes, at that time we discussed what Mas Gibran would do. It turns out that in the end Mas Gibran decided to participate as Mas Prabowo’s vice presidential candidate. So that is Mas Gibran’s right, we can only wish him the best,” said Arsjad after the Indonesia Integrity Forum seminar. 2023 at the Mandarin Hotel, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (25/10/2023).

Arsjad emphasized that Gibran would not be included in the winning team of Ganjar and Mahfud Md after registering with the KPU with Prabowo. He wishes the Mayor of Solo the best.

“For example, it’s clear, if for example now you have become vice presidential candidate, it’s impossible for Mas Ganjar and Prof Mahfud to enter the TPN. But that’s all, for us, this is for us to wish the best for Mas Gibran, and that is Mas Gibran’s right,” he said.

Arsjad said that the position of Jurkam Ganjar-Mahfud would later be replaced. He admitted that there were still many other young people who were able to participate in filling the position of Jurkam.

“Naturally, we will also have other young people who can participate, because many want to,” said Arsjad.

Arsjad does not regret the steps taken by Gibran to become Prabowo’s vice presidential candidate. He admitted that he would pray for President Jokowi’s eldest son.

“No, if you ask Mas Gibran that. But what is clear is that we wish him the best,” said Arsjad.

Arsjad said that Gibran’s decision to run as vice presidential candidate must be respected. This refers to constitutional rules in Indonesia.

“After all, we return to the constitution if we see that everyone has rights,” he said.

Previously, Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka officially registered as presidential candidates and vice presidential candidates with the KPU on Wednesday (25/10/2023). Meanwhile, Gibran is a cadre from the PDI Perjuangan.
