Ganjar Pranowo Denies Corruption Allegations: IPW Reports Presidential Candidate Number 3 to KPK

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TVPresidential candidate number 3, Ganjar Pranowo, opened his voice after being reported to the Corruption Eradication Commission or KPK on suspicion of receiving gratuities and/or bribes.

It was Indonesia Police Watch or IPW who reported the former Governor of Central Java to the anti-corruption agency.

Responding to the IPW report, Ganjar denied the accusation of allegedly receiving gratification in the form of cashback from the insurance company.

“I have never received gifts or gratuities from those he accused,” said Ganjar when confirmed in Jakarta on Tuesday (5/3/2024).

Previously, IPW reported Ganjar to the KPK along with one other person, namely the Main Director of BPD Central Java for the 2014-2023 period with the initials S to the KPK.

IPW Chairman Sugeng Teguh Santoso said that the report was based on alleged acceptance cashback from the insurance company. The value of the alleged gratification or bribe reached more than IDR 100 billion.

“IPW reported suspected criminal acts of corruption in gratification and/or bribery cashback “Several insurance companies to the Managing Director of Bank Jateng (initials S) and also the controlling shareholder of Bank Jateng Ganjar Pranowo (GP) are estimated to occur from 2014 to 2023,” said Sugeng.

Sugeng explained that the insurance company provides credit guarantee coverage to Bank Jateng creditors, which is understood as cashback.
