Wonogiri –
Presidential candidate number 3 Ganjar Pranowo talked about solutions to overcome rising rice prices and fertilizer shortages. Reward offended that those who asked about scarce fertilizer in Central Java during the presidential debate did not understand the data.
This was conveyed by Ganjar after visiting the Wonogiri City Market, Central Java, Friday (29/12/2023). Initially, Ganjar said that the price of rice on the market continued to increase.
“It turns out it’s been more or less several months since I asked, maybe around 4 or 6 months, the traders didn’t know for sure, it’s been months since the price of rice has been going up and not going down,” said Ganjar.
Ganjar said that previously the price of rice was IDR 11 thousand per liter. However, he said, currently the price of rice has reached IDR 14 thousand per liter and has not decreased.
“This means that there is a serious program for me to look at this problem,” he said.
The increase in rice prices was also triggered by a scarcity of fertilizer. He admitted that he had checked and received information that fertilizer subsidies had been reduced.
“When we met with farmers yesterday, we received complaints about scarce fertilizer, one is because I checked with Commission IV that the subsidy was reduced,” he said.
“Central Java will be even more angry because next year it will be reduced. We have this data to convey,” he continued.
The former Governor of Central Java then quipped at those who asked about the scarcity of fertilizer in Central Java during the debate. He said the party did not understand the data.
“So, when yesterday in the debate I was asked about fertilizer, I felt like the person asking didn’t understand the data, I said this because it is open and we don’t need to be embarrassed, we just fix it, if the subsidy can be increased, the method of delivery can be more precise, closed, the distribution is correct then God willing, it will not disappear,” he said.
