Once again, for another year, visitors to Bolata are outraged by the many cars and caravans parked on the sand. Some of the cars even reach the water to launch boats into the sea.
Recently, in the same case, the mayor of Kavarna Elena Baltadjieva commented that inspections of the beach are carried out regularly. “When a signal arrives at me, I send it by competence. If there are cars parked on the sand and if we say it’s a beach, I can’t physically fine violators. I turn to the Ministry of Interior, which fines for improper parking, “she explained.
Bolata is the only Bulgarian beach that was included in the prestigious ranking of the travel site European Best Destinations for the most beautiful beaches in Europe for 2019. It is recommended as one of the best beaches in Europe.
Since 2013, the bay is a full member of the club “The most beautiful bays in the world.” Bolata is not only a beach, but the only reserve in Bulgaria, including water area, sea area and at the same time covers the surrounding rocks and the small river.
The Bolata area is part of the Kaliakra Reserve and it is forbidden to drive to the beach. There has been an order for removing Bolata from the reserve and easing the regimes there since 2018, but this is not yet a fact.
