A blind British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) reporter was robbed by gangsters while on duty. When he found out, he immediately counterattacked, pinning his opponent to the ground and trying to get his cellphone back. When he was later interviewed, he confidently said, “This robber picks the wrong blind man on the wrong day.”
According to the British media “BBC”, the incident took place on the 27th, when Sean Dilley was on night shift at the New Broadcasting Building in London and during his break his cell phone was stolen by a bicycle robber. He was at his side, so he took the opportunity, pounced on his opponent, tried to suppress him and finally managed to get his cell phone back.
Deely recalled that after putting down the robber, he immediately dialed 999 with his cell phone’s voice assistant, and as he waited for the police to rescue him, another kind-hearted passerby stepped forward to help. Seeing the robbers constantly fighting, Deeley decided to save a way out and told the robbers, “As long as you leave immediately, I will let you go.” By the time three police officers arrived, Deeley had already let the robbers go.

Deeley later believed he was “stupid” in choosing to let the robber go, because in the process of putting down the other party, he suffered numerous cuts on his body and scars on his elbow. He suggested that people who encounter similar situations “are not worth risking their lives for any property and should report directly to the police.” He also said that he should be the robber’s target due to his blindness, and said with a smile that “the robber picked the wrong blind man on the wrong day.”
