The National Civil Police (PNC) captured a gang member minutes after demanding extortion money from a vendor in the municipality of Apopa.
The gang member was identified as Jovel Alexander Rodríguez Murcia, alias Panzón, who is a member of the 18 criminal structure.
According to PNC investigations, this gang member had for years the role of extorting within the gang, which caused stores, pupuserías and other businesses to go bankrupt.
This gang member was captured in the Chintuc 2 neighborhood, in Apopa. In addition, police authorities indicated that he will be prosecuted for illicit groups.
