CSKA head coach Viktor Gancharenko returned to Moscow on June 24 and discussed with the club management the continuation of cooperation.
According to the source, the 43-year-old specialist expressed his readiness to finalize the Tinkoff RPL with the Moscow team before the end of the current season.
It is noted that the leadership of the red-blue took time to think.
The situation is complicated by the fact that citizens of Belarus who have the right to enter the territory of Russia must undergo 14-day quarantine. Thus, Gancharenko will be forced to miss matches with Dynamo, Spartak and Akhmat.
At the moment, the team is being prepared by the head coach Sergey Ovchinnikov, since Gancharenko went to Belarus after losing to Zenit (0-4) in the RPL round 23 match, citing ill health.
CSKA takes 5th place in the standings of the championship of Russia, having 36 points. The match with Dynamo is scheduled for June 27.
Gancharenko led CSKA in 2016. In May, the parties extended the contract until the end of the 2020/21 season.
