GameStop, a popular gaming retailer, has announced the closure of all its Irish stores, including three in Limerick. The company has been steadily reducing its presence in Ireland over the past decade, with the remaining stores expected to close by summer. GameStop reduced services in its 35 Irish stores in March when it stopped selling gift cards and taking pre-orders. Although the final closing date of the stores has not been confirmed yet, the American-owned company confirmed the news on social media and is currently offering discounts on hundreds of items. Despite the unclear number of job losses, gamers and fans are undoubtedly disappointed by the closure of this well-known gaming store.
