GameStop, the retailing giant, has officially announced that it will be closing its Irish stores, marking the end of an era for gamers everywhere. The company’s social media accounts shared the news, and the closing down sale is already underway both in-store and online. In March, GameStop announced that it would be ceasing many of its services, including the sale of gift cards, trade-ins and purchases of used devices and accessories, and pre-orders of some products. GameStop currently has over 35 outlets across Ireland.
