Up to 350,000 visitors are expected at Gamescom in Cologne, the world’s largest fair for the games industry. Limburg studios AlterEyes and Rogue6 are present to show their skills to international visitors and to learn something from the world stars in their sector.
The world’s largest gaming fair is the ultimate destination for all things digital entertainment and gaming culture. More than 1,400 exhibitors compete for as much attention as possible on a range of 32 football fields. One of them is Pieter Op de Beeck, CEO of the Hasselt game studio AlterEyes. The only Limburg outlet is in the Belgian pavilion, which is in the basement of the exhibition building. His company released the VR game Big Shots a week ago, with “very good” results so far. Much is still expected of him.

And to show some people the first prototype of our new game. I can’t tell you more about that yet.”
Also present at Gamescom is the Rogue6 game company from Heers. The core team is present to test their game with international experts.
